My Reflections over the last 4-5 days

Still being tired after 3 weeks [dealing with a flu] -makes me easily overwhelmed when trying to get things done -because I really need to get back on track!

So I started to take action with five bullets on my “to do list” for the day.

When I did a listening to an important replay of a mentoring webinar, I got a hint about upgrading our sites to a more secured platform with https:// “just” by installing a Super Easy SSL. Plugin – super easy! Ha – it took my attention on/off, during the whole day and some frustrations on the go, but I was rescued by super support from our provider.

In a replay of another webinar, I was introduced to a “super smart” time saving facility on how to follow updates easily, it’s named Feedly. Fantastic tool. I have put a link below. I did my research and decided to upgrade as a subscriber… Pressed the button for PayPal – just to realize the “PayPal Security Function” wanted to give me a phone call and therefore, I discovered the phone number on my PayPal account was a long gone old landline number… Oh no!

So another “too much time spent” on finding out how to change my phone number -after office hours! Which meant that I first succeeded with that part next morning after discovering that the login and the password, somehow was not related any longer either! WTF! Again, another “Password Pain”… But then I discovered that applying for a new password would give me admitance to my PayPal settings and here I could finally change my phone number!

I explored again how to handle the safety on passwords and especially “How to remember all your passwords!” and I had a good talk with my personal security engineer -Jens. A talk we’ve had for several years, especially back when all kids were living at home and everyone were online at our own LAN setup… But it could be a topic for a blog post another time.

Next bullet on my list – a follow up on another subject that is in my sphere of interest and I need to staying updated on… “Click here – join the free Webinar” bla bla bla etc. Just to discover that the link I got, takes more than 1.5 hours of listening! WTF – NO WAY – I jumped out – did close down all browser windows and went outside into the garden to do some weeding! Which by the way also was on my list.

My holistic perspective is that us being unique individuals in this universe which is working extremely fast, are able to understand and “become updated” so to speak on a few seconds. I know that when opening a window to the needed information, we only need to share the essence of the message and the rest will automatically float. That’s why we meditate… to open up the flow.

I find it indecent when people think I have infinite time to listen to very long speeches, for a message that could have been given within a few minutes. The same goes, if people repeat their message more than three times in the same section. It is with disrespect of other people’s time! While I realized this and got liberated my frustrations, I got an idea on how I will communicate my messages and stories, with awareness of the holistic perspectives.

I decided that I will never force people to listen to my messages for more than three to max 15 minutes. If it should be longer, I’ll split it into smaller sequences and just give the essence of my message and create links to more detailed information, which can be selected if and when needed!

And I will meditate much more – Thank goodness for meditation.

Thank you for taking your time reading this post

HOW TO HAVE HILARIOUS MOMENTS WHILE DEALING WITH INFLUENZA

HOW TO HAVE HILARIOUS MOMENTS WHILE DEALING WITH INFLUENZA

Change your mood for healing and happiness

Always be aware of your mood  –  it has an impact on your health!

I’m having caught a bad flu this winter. Here in France it’s named La grippe! It seems like being a pandemic with so many people hit and it is rather uncomfortable with fever, snot and coughs Eeerrgghh.

So being in bed under duvets and blankets seems to be the only right thing to do – simply surrender and let the body do its work. But how to keep the boredom away…?

My dear husband Jens did arrange my laptop – connected to the television screen – as he did find a channel on YouTube with an endless stream of old black / white Hollywood films from before WW2 – what a pleasure. Nice and SO funny movies from a time where the world seemed less complicated – just what I can overview in my flu condition.

Until now, I have seen Cary Grant in several different versions: Submarine captain – who unintended is getting a handful of women on board…  As a chemist and scientist working in a company where they try to invent the liquid for youth and have several unexpected results, involving a chimpanzee and children – hilarious. Then about the childless couple having hard times on getting business up, running and adapting first a little baby girl… who later dies – ohhh noo – and then a little boy … very heart breaking and also very sweet! After this, I saw a Gary Cooper – theme: Cowboy meets girl on a blind date she hides she is very rich,  they of course get deeply in love… also a very sweet and happy film.

I just discovered the channel also has several Chaplin movies – Cartoons with Betty Boop – Popeye – Super Man – Now you need to have a look

Enjoy and have fun

HOW TO HAVE HILARIOUS MOMENTS WHILE DEALING WITH INFLUENZA

HOW TO CREATE HEALTHY CHEMISTRY WITHIN YOUR FANTASTIC BODY

Create healthy chemistry and balance within your fantastic body!

What is very important for your health is to have a good balance between the alkaline and acid levels in our body. The lifestyle of today is far to acid for the body. We eat white bread, butter and cheese, meat, sugar, cakes, sweets etc. We drink coffee, wine, beer, soda and sparkling water – which all causes a lot of harmful stress because we get too much while the body really struggles to bring down the acid level. But also what you eat needs to be nutritious. Vegetables and fruits happens to be mostly alkaline.

A good lifestyle for being well is among others about how to support your body, keeping the chemical balance in order, so the body can spend its energy on reproduction and restitution in the self-healing system and create energy so you can do what you like to do. We can reduce the stress in our body effectively if we know how thing works and how to support the body better. So let’s focus on the alkaline / acid balance here.

What I do is – I drink a lot of plain water during the day! A lot is minimum 2 liters a day besides drinking my nettle tea! I do love my coffee so I have to compensate somewhere else. Exercise and walks reduce acid and creates alkaline too. I therefore aim for doing a brisk walk for 20-30 minutes every day… every 2-3 day it’s prolonged to 1.5 hrs (7 km). To breathe properly is what happens when we walk – but also I try to be aware and breathe deeply several times during my day. Then I love eating vegetables and we fairly eat meat any longer.

But one of my really good tricks is another morning routine, I do (while I make the 2nd pot of nettle tea…) I take half a lemon (organic) squeeze it into a jug (for ½ liter) fill in lukewarm water and 1 tablespoon of organic virgin  Olive oil – this is SO good. The Olive Oil is anti-inflammatory, the lemon creates alkaline and the water supports the detoxification which now will happen. The result is amazing! You can see it on your skin, your nails get strong and flexible, and you might even start losing weight. Interesting about the weight – but facts is that the signal for the body actually needing more hydration (thirst) we mix up, so we think we need food and eats instead … and probably it was just the water we needed!

Another big problem we have today is the quality of the drinking water – we all need to drink pure clean balanced water of a much better quality. Bottled filter water is not even a guarantee for quality.

If this is all new to you – it might be many things for you to adjust – but after a while it’s just another habit – and you’ll  really notice the difference which is worth the work.

Good luck!

Best wishes of your Health, Wealth and Happiness

HOW TO HAVE HILARIOUS MOMENTS WHILE DEALING WITH INFLUENZA

How to Handle feelings of solitude and low energy in holiday seasons

Photo by Cameron Stow on Unsplash

Handling feelings of solitude and low energy in Holiday seasons

December always has the influence of bringing up many emotions in me and it can be a little heavy for both my spouse and me. Therefore, I try to keep it to myself… and I recognize this pattern every year!

This time of the year where family gatherings, calls and loving conversations ought to be queuing up -but they don’t!

My husband is a sole child and his parents are no longer. My own mother is also a sole child -so there are no near relatives like aunts or uncles nor cousins.

This morning was no different from last year… I was home alone and did allow myself all the emotions for a while. Feeling a missing of the vicinity with my two lovely daughters, both of whom are busy occupied students, which is perfect, they are both busy and have their own life in their mid-twenties.

The non-existent connection with my sister and our parents through several years- seems we have nothing to share any longer. I have, of course, also a stake in this situation -but the feeling of loss and the feeling of being rejected and alone, hits me like a hammer -again I become the little girl who has come away from her family.

So this morning, as I prepared my breakfast late -after having slept a lot, since I also always get symptoms of the flu! I decided that I needed to use the good tools, I know of, to take better care of myself and focus my energies somewhere else.

As I poured coffee in my mug, I got an impulse about to listen to a Reiki meditation… so I went  to look up for my favourite Reiki meditations saved in my YouTube account. Susan Wilbanks has uploaded some powerful 5-6 minutes short soundtracks on her channel -that really makes a difference. So why not try if I could bring myself into another state of mind? (all links are below)

As always when I enter my YouTube account (I use my android phone) some proposals appears when I open the app. So before I found the Reiki, I noticed a new channel I have never seen before. The attraction was on the title “The Energy Alchemist” and I took it as a sign for me to be even more aware of the energy I had just gone through with all my emotions.

As I listened, I realized this was the exact teaching  I needed to hear in this situation. Discovering the modern monk Dandipani explaining about concentration, focus and energy was an eye opener, he frames it in a way I haven’t heard before.

Afterwards I did listen to Susan Wilbank’s “Reiki for Anxiety” and just after I listened also to “Reiki for Empaths”  as I also am!

I took a deep breath and did notice my emotions were already in a much better balance.

Yet another channel appeared, with Sangita Prana- a sound healing track “shield against bad luck and negative energy”-a good rounding so I decided also listened to this. Fulfilling my mission to get in a better mood.

So in just an hour I managed to change my energy and focus … and get out of my feeling of solitude..

I share this with you what I learned today from Dandipani – I have to practice and look forward to see how next years December feelings will appear

Happy holidays

HOW TO HAVE HILARIOUS MOMENTS WHILE DEALING WITH INFLUENZA

HOW TO TAKE ACTION ON IDEAS AND HAVE MORE FUN

How to take action on ideas and have more fun

Being a creative person having many ideas can be a frustrating experience. Completing assignments and manifesting results requires something special, that mostly creative people lacks, such as DISCIPLINE! Possibly it might end up with nothing has been done, just as for the person who is completely without any ideas at all.

I (Katrine) know of this scenario all too well, so does my dear husband Jens, he is much more disciplined and being very patient with me.

Creating a vision board is a great method to start playing with ideas, whether you have some or have none. Letting the joy of using pictures and your brain pick the ones that resonates without any deeper thoughts is like playing. You should give it a try.

A great online tool for this process is Pinterest, here you can collect any picture you like just by searching for e.g. for your favourite colours, animals, food, furniture, travels etc.

Another way is to participate in an event with e.g. 5-10 people where everyone has brought a pile of old magazines and placed them in a cleared room, on the floor. Raise the energy and have fun with music and dancing and let everyone tear all magazines apart and leave it all on the floor. Quite funny actually. Then start the process. Letting your eyes catch the colours and collect the pages that attracts you. Equipped with scissors and glue, everyone now cuts and sticks up ones favourites on each their own cardboard. Magic can happen when you allow your senses to be the guides. Because you work on a subconscious level and end up making it visible.

The next step will be to put in words and text, catch some dreams and ideas you can continue to work with in the future. I did this several times and I have had vision boards hanging in my office for years. It’s also another great way of programming your subconscious mind to reaching your goals. Here we’re talking the Law of attraction.

When having some ideas you want to execute, you need to plan your GOALS. Here it’s important to list up everything. Make an overview and then decide when you want it realized. There is a simple tool to check up on REAL goals called the SMART-goal model – because sometimes goals happen to be too fluffy and end up just being a dream.

We have another great tool that works quite well. Have you ever heard about Mind Mapping? A fantastic tool we have taught several people during the years. I have put links below, to all the above-mentioned tools to learn more.

Being a creative person who sense my intuition strongly, I have realized that it’s not always my own ideas I have to work on. I easily capture other people’s energy and subconscious ideas. I become enthusiastic about people’s potential and see the picture immediately and even more clear than they do themselves. I get the picture, words and instantly know how even the colours’ must be.
Actually, people don’t need to have an idea yet, because my intuition is so strong I easily tune in and sense their possibilities, even after just a short talk! The biggest obstacle here is that people don’t trust the feedback they can get and have the imprint that it has to look in a specific way, for being a good solution.

Should you need to pick my brain and give you a creative feedback or if you need support in your planning –reach out, I would be love to help you by coaching you to your next goal.

Remember to always have fun during the process

HOW TO HAVE HILARIOUS MOMENTS WHILE DEALING WITH INFLUENZA

HOW TO BECOME HEALTHIER IN YOUR DAILY LIFE

Photo by Brooke Lark on Unsplash

Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner

Is one of your New Year resolutions to become healthIER in your daily life? Can be very easy to say, but overwhelming to implement! My advice is to just start up planning one meal at a time and have some handy and  healthy solutions like walnuts, some dates and a banana make you stick to your intentions. Step by step, your new plan becomes a good habit.

Let’s take a look at your Breakfast what do you normally do? If you don’t eat breakfast – I have to tell you that this is rarely what your body needs! The first step could be to implement something light and healthy… a slice of your favourite fruit and vegetable is fine, as long as you also drink plenty of water. You can get inspired from our green habits and try it out. If you are for a more solid meal, I recommend oatmeal or porridge of muesli with some fresh sliced fruits and berries, and variations are actually unlimited depending on the season e.g. some kiwis, melons, oranges etc.

As for Lunch – it’s a cultural habit depending on where in the world you live. We are in Europe. Here in France the culture is like in Italy, Spain and Portugal. A nice long two hour siesta from 12.30 – 14.30! All year round, so it’s not only about the heat in the summer. Everything closes down. Smaller shops, offices, Pharmacies … etc. People drive home to eat a proper lunch or they meet and go to a nearby restaurant and eat two courses and end with an espresso. Many nearby cantinas have special arrangements for the nearby working people and keep fair prices. The lunch break is sacred – you don’t disturb or make calls during these hours – it’s like the whole country takes a deep breath and calms down. Which is so healthy.

Quite a lovely change for a pragmatic Dane who normally never leaves the job for a break, but rather takes a sandwich while continuing working by the computer (YES very unhealthy!) The Swedes are better at this – they have a one-hour break and they have many restaurants open for lunch only. Even the children at school are served a hot meal every day. That means the whole family has been satisfied with a good solid meal during the day and can go lighter for the dinner, which again means less stressed dinner preparation in the families. I have always envied Sweden this model. The Norwegians are some between the Danes and the Swedes.

So, a nice and easy lunch in France “un déjeuner” when you go to a restaurant is “une platte d’jour” the todays menu, traditionally with a salad as an entrance and a main dish with some meat or fish stew and matching potatoes or rice. Could also be the main dish and a dessert like an ice or a cake, finishing with an espresso. Nice, ones in a while, but this would not work for me daily.

If you are to prepare your own lunch as we do, you can go super healthy super easy with fresh spinach leaves with olive oil and hard boiled egg, tomatoes, cucumber, avocado, sometimes tuna, other times some goat cheese, and a minimum of bread. Drink water… always water!

Your dinner could be just as easy peasy as the lunch. You could add a soup, cold in summer like Spanish gazpacho hmm. Warm in winter like French Onion soup, pea soup or tomato soup very yummy. You can always have some salad. Make an omelette etc. We have a solution that suits both of us … As we always have frozen broccoli and beans in the fridge, and always have eggs and Parmesan. Pour boiling water on a bowl of the frozen broccoli or the beans, fry two eggs for each, serve with grated Parmesan, organic olive oil, salt and pepper… well this is a great quick light dinner that only takes 10 minutes to prepare and you don’t get overeaten as well.

Bon appétit
